Vancouver was reshaped during the post-war years, producing a varied collection of outstanding modern buildings, houses and other structures, a number of which are now considered cultural landmarks. Western Canada’s largest city differed from other metropolitan centers undergoing similar mid-century transformations, though, in its unique West Coast approach to the modernist aesthetic; a movement which incorporated its natural environment above all else.
