Melvyn’s Casablanca Lounge

Vintage lounges & bars

When name-dropping the likes of Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Elizabeth Taylor or Liza Minnelli, you’re bound to raise a few eyebrows, but for local hotelier Mel Haber it’s all in a days work.

For over 40 years Haber has welcomed guests to his Palm Springs landmark hotel, the Ingleside Inn, which dates back to the 1920s, and at one time or another the above mentioned and more have partied at Melvyn’s Casablanca Lounge .

The bar and adjoining restaurant both have a really great “rat pack” vibe and it’s like walking into a time capsule of cool. These days Melvyn’s attracts a young eclectic crowd and is busier than ever. They serve a wicked martini, too!

Located downtown and open every night.

NOTE – Mel Haber passed away on October 25, 2016 at the age of 80. He will be missed.
