Off the beaten track, Then & Now is more of a warehouse than a storefront but worth seeking out for vintage mid-century collectibles and Hawaiiana.

Located in the town of Kaneohe on Oahu’s windward side, in the light blue warehouse complex directly across from Windward Auto Spa and next to Kikuya Japanese Restaurant and Willie’s Auto Transmission (we said it was off the beaten track!) lies a treasure trove of forgotten items from Hawaii’s glory days gone by.

Owner Darrin Lum specializes in tracking down unique and sometimes hard to find pieces from  Hawaii’s vintage pop-culture days including Polynesian restaurant ephemera, vintage Tikis, Aloha wear, homewares and more. He even stocks some classic mid-century modern furniture which is hard to come by in Hawaii.

Mostly by appointment only so definitely call ahead!
