La Mariana Tiki Bar

Tiki Culture/Polynesian Pop

The Tiki Bar and Restaurant at La Mariana Sailing Club has been serving up the best Mai Tai and Zombie cocktails on the island since 1957 and is one the last vestiges of Honolulu’s glory days when Polynesian Pop themed bars & restaurants seemed to be everywhere.

Hawaiiana abounds at this tropical watering hole where many of the original koa wood tables & chairs, blow-fish lamps and hard carved Tikis were rescued from places like Don the Beachcomber, Trader Vic’s and the Shearton’s Kon Tiki Room turning this waterfront oasis at Ke’ehi Lagoon into a time capsule of sorts, with an authentic and really fun island-style atmosphere.

If you’re a Tikiphile you’ll want to put La Mariana’s on the top of your bucket list. For more vintage dining experiences on Oahu, click here.

Bonus Tiki Bars: Although not of the same vintage as La Mariana’s – in fact they’re downright contemporary by comparison – a couple of other Tiki-themed bars and restaurants you can find in Waikiki are Cuckoo Coconuts and Tiki’s Grill & Bar. Even more suggestions can be found at Honolulu Magazine.
