Modernism Week

Mid-century modern events

As far as annual celebrations of all things mid-century modern go, Palm Springs Modernism Week is not to be missed.

Held every February over the President’s Day holiday weekend, Modernism Week celebrates a movement defined by clean lines and elegant informality; think House Hunters meets Mad Men! It’s a 10 day plus event where thousands of enthusiasts gather from all over the world to revere what they love; architecture and design from the mid twentieth century.

So, if you’d like to attend mid-mod related lectures & screenings, shop for that rare Paul McCobb desk, take bus tours or exclusive visits to iconic mid-century modern homes, and party with other modernists like it’s 1999, er… 1959, at martini mixers and Tiki bars, then Modernism Week is definitely for you!

If you can’t make mid-February, Modernism Week has an annual “fall kick off” event over the Columbus Day holiday weekend every October.
